Serving Others

On the following pages you will find the diverse ways in which our Church serves others - a fundamental principle of the Christian faith.

Service takes many forms using the gifts God has given us, whatever they may be, to share with others -

  • offering a fully trained pastoral care team to support those who need visiting in their home, hospital or care home

  • Sharing gifts of money, goods, time and talents through our outreach to the benefit of others - for example supporting aid appeals or giving time to the village school

  • Confirming our commitment to St Mary's Church by joining the membership list (electoral roll)

  • Working with the other churches in the village to serve the community through combined activities such as Easter walk of witness, joint service of Healing and Messy Church

  • Hospitality (there are always cakes!) and fellowship including group visits and holidays

  • Working together in an organised way rotas to offer high quality worship for all who come to services in our church

  • sharing our facilities by offering the church room for hire

  • maintaining strong links with the crew of HMS Chiddingfold

  • we share worship and fellowship with our link church St Paul's Hook with Southborough at Chessington in Surrey.
